As Free Culinary School.com has grown and more people participate in the community of the site, I have come to realize that there is a vast majority of people in the FCS community that know a lot about food and our dieing to share their ideas.

It is for this reason that I have decided to encourage community generated content on this site, by readers for the readers. Here’s how it works:

If you have a recipe, food idea, or culinary knowledge that you would like to share with the FCS community, go ahead and write it up as you would like it to appear on the blog. E-mail it to me at jacob@freeculinaryschool.com for consideration.

Although it is not mandatory, a nice photo of the finished dish, step by step photos, or any other visual aids will really help to make your post a complete masterpiece. If you do decide to send photos, please send them as jpeg attachments.

Also, be sure to include any blurb or byline that you would like to appear at the end of your post. This byline can include a website or real world business that you would like to promote, your philosophies on cooking in a nutshell, or anything else that you think is unique about you that you would like to distinguish. Also be sure to include how you would like your name or “pen name” to appear on any articles that you write.

Once your first post is approved, you will become eligeable for receiveing a “contributing writer’s” password and login so that you can post directly to the blog with future articles or recipes that you would like to share.

As participation grows, readers and FCS community members will be able to share recipes and culinary knowledge, allowing eachother to comment and correspond directly on the blog, ultimately pushing everyone’s culinary knowledge forward.

Rules and Restrictions

  • All content must be consistent with the themes of The Free Culinary School Podcast and Free Culinary School.com, with the ultimate goal of educating or informing other community members.
  • Although I would be more than happy to promote your website or real world business in your byline, any article or recipe written to for the sole purpose of shameless self promotion will be rejected
  • All content submitted MUST be an ORIGINAL work by YOU. Please don’t sell yourself short by submitting plagiarized ideas or content. If you’re truly passionate about cooking then you will be able to generate plenty of original thoughts on your own.

If you’re interested in submitting a recipe or article for review, please e-mail jacob@freeculinaryschool.com.
